Working at Heights

AIMECS engineering has always placed a premium on maintaining a healthy and safe work environment.

We prioritise the prevention of falls from heights, and we ensure that work at heights is actively controlled so that people are not harmed.

Working at height includes but is not limited to – work carried out where falls of three metres or more may occur, plant and building maintenance, plant inspections, scaffolding work, working off platforms, and some areas of demolition.

Training the employees is one technique for lowering the risk of working at heights.

We held the height work training at our workshop last Saturday. This foundation training will assist our employees who work at heights or plan to work at heights in gaining workplace confidence. The training covers both theoretical and practical information, as well as height-specific risks. The course was specifically written to include the contents of NZQA (17600,23229) unit standards.
